Here we are again...five years after the staff of Yankee Harvest LLC. decided to give Halloween it's very own web site. Things have really changed from year to year. The celebration of Halloween as a fun family and community harvest festivity has grown and so have we...!!! We have added to and fine-tuned our Yankee Halloween web site and Graveside Store to include not only great pumpkin carving ideas, but top notch decorating and entertaining ideas, as well. We have heard from so many of you, our customers, concerning your wants and needs when it comes to the kind of Halloween YOU want to celebrate. JUST A QUICK NOTE: As of September 30, 2004 we have already sold out of PUMPKIN' DUNKIN' and the 2002 Pumpkin Masters Contest Winners. Not only are we SOLD OUT, so is our suppliers and our distributors. Because of the weekend timing of Halloween this year, our inventory is going FAST...!!! Many days might go by without using the grill and the backyard picnic table has begun to gather a few yellow leaves on its surface. With vacations over, and school/homework/sports taking up the few remaining daylight hours, it is reasonable that mealtime becomes somewhat chaotic. Plus, a whole new offering of autumn goodies start lining the grocer's shelves. This is autumn fare at its brightest and best, a combination like no other. Perfect for Sunday dinner, with left overs warmed over, served with yummy vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, later in the week. Thank you Food Network...this one was a keeper...!!! CRANBERRY PUMPKIN BREAD PUDDING 4 cups milk, half 'n half or evaporated milk Bread amount should be enough to fill a 9 x 13 baking dish. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl; mix together all ingredients except for the bread and cranberries. Arrange the bread in the baking dish, filling the dish. Sprinkle cranberries over the top. Pour liquid mixture over the bread, making sure that the bread is submerged and is soaking up the liquid. pressing down, if necessary. Bake for about one hour, or until pudding is set. For an added crunch, add a cup of coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans to the pudding.
