Yankee Harvest Recipes
Grandpa's Cajun and Garlic Barbecue Baby Back Ribs
4 to 6 servings
4 to 5 pounds pork baby back ribs: Follow Safe Handling Instructions
Ingredients for the rib boil:
1 1/2 gallons boiling water
2 tablespoons fresh minced garden garlic
4 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
4 tablespoons Seasoned salt
Ingredients for the rib sauce :
1 bottle of your favorite sauce
6 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons fresh minced garden garlic
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons Seasoned salt
8 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Basting Brush
cooking foil
paper napkins
Cooking Directions:
Brush and lightly oil the grill grate. Check your charcoal or grill gas supply. Light and preheat your outdoor grill for medium heat.
Cooking directions for the rib boil:
In a large stock pot over high heat, bring the water to a boil. Add the fresh minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, seasoned salt and the pork baby back ribs. Cut the ribs into thirds to fit in the pot. Bring back to a boil. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
Marinade directions for the rib sauce :
In a separate medium, stainless steel pan, combine the barbecue sauce, fresh minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, seasoned salt and Worcestershire sauce. Use the 6 tablespoons water to rinse out the sauce left in the bottle. Add to and mix all the marinade ingredients together. Bring the marinade sauce up to a boil. Stir and remove from the heat.
After the ribs are cooked, carefully remove them from the HOT pot. Place them in a baking pan. Baste a generous amount of the warm marinade sauce to the ribs and allow them to marinate for 15 to 20 minutes, covered with the cooking foil.
Grill the marinated ribs over medium heat for 7 to 12 minutes per side. Serve these delicious ribs with plenty of napkins for your guests.
This is a very tasty, baby back ribs barbecue recipe. It's very easy to prepare. Serve the extra marinade sauce with the cooked ribs.
